  • Which TKS services are eligible for VAT relief?
    A VAT exemption can be applied to easyConnect and easyMobile services.
  • Can I get the VAT removed from my old bills?
    Unfortunately no, it is not possible to obtain VAT relief on a previously issued bill. VAT exemptions can only be applied to upcoming bills.
  • Can I still pay my bills online?
    Yes, the VAT will be automatically subtracted from your monthly bill, therefore you may pay your bills in full the same way you always have.
  • How long is the service contract?
    With easyConnect there’s no minimum contract duration. Keep your service as long as you like and cancel at your convenience.
  • Where is easyConnect available?
    easyConnect is available Germany wide both off-base and on-base.
  • What hardware do I need?
    You’ll need a preconfigured modem supplied by TKS and a standard analog telephone. To start surfing the web and making calls, all you need to do is connect your computer and telephone - that's it! The hardware is programmed to automatically initialize your service.
  • What happens if there is just not enough bandwidth where I live?
    If you live in low-bandwidth area, TKS will inform you in writing of all the potential options available at your address.
  • Do I need a myTKS customer account?
    Yes, you need a myTKS customer account in order to activate and use the app. If you already have a verified customer account, simply log in to the app with the same username and password, and then start making phone calls!
  • How do I set up a myTKS account?
    Setting up your free myTKS customer account is easy. To get started, just click on myTKS at the top of this page and then on register. On a mobile phone, tap the menu icon (three lines) to display the myTKS section. Then simply follow the on-sceen instructions. To complete your account setup, log in to myTKS and go to the verification section.
  • How much does the myTKS app cost?
    It's free! If you're an easyConnect subscriber the myTKS app is a standard feature that's included with your residential telephone service. Please note that the app does use a small amount of GSM mobile data to transport your phone calls to and from your mobile device however it is also possible to use the app while connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Are international calls really free of charge?
    Yes, the app creates a link to your home telephone service and utilizes the exact same dialing rates. With our easyConnect Basic calling plan this includes unlimited free calls to the USA, Canada, the UK, and Germany. If you have the easyConnect Global option you can get free calls to over 130 international destinations. For more information about these calling plans please visit the terms and rates section.

  • Can I use the app on more than one phone?
    No, the myTKS app can only be paired to one mobile device. If you would like to use the app on a different phone, please contact TKS customer service to request a device transfer.
  • Which mobile devices are supported?
    The easyTV app is compatible with phones and tablets running Android 4.3 and up, and Apple iOS 8.2 or later.
  • Is the app free to download?
    Yes, the easyMobile app is always free to download and install, however it can only be used in combination with an active easyTV subscription.
  • How much does NFL RedZone cost?
    It’s a one-time payment of €59.95 for the entire NFL regular season.
  • Can I get just NFL RedZone – without anything else?
    Unfortunately NFL RedZone is not available as a stand-alone service, it is only available as an optional add-on to plans that include the NFL Network.
  • Which easyTV service plans offer NFL RedZone?
    You can get NFL RedZone with an easyTV Gold or easyTV Platinum subscription.
  • When is NFL RedZone on?
    It’s broadcasted live every Sunday during the NFL regular season from the start of the 1PM ET games through the end of the late afternoon games.
  • What are the minimum PC requirements? Is Linux supported?
    The easyTV PC app is compatible with computers running Windows 7 and higher, and Mac OS 10.8 and higher. Unfortunately Linux is not supported at this time.
  • How many mobile devices can watch TV at the same time?
    A standard easyTV subscription includes only one mobile video stream. If you would like to watch on multiple devices at the same time, you can add the Family Option to any service package which provides two additional simultaneous video streams.
  • Where can I buy a set-top box?
    At participating Exchange locations – United Kingdom: RAF Lakenheath Main Exchange, RAF Mildenhall Main Exchange • Belgium: Chievres Exchange • Netherlands: Schinnen Troop Store • Italy: Aviano Main Exchange, Livorno-Camp Darby Exchange, Vicenza Main Exchange • Turkey: Incirlik Main Exchange. Soon you’ll also be able to buy a set-top box online at the Exchange website.
  • With a set-top box, do you also get the easyTV app for mobile devices?
    Yes! The easyTV app for Android and Apple devices and also for Mac and Windows PCs is included with your set-top box subscription.
  • Can watch on my set-top box and on a mobile device at the same time?
    Yes, you can watch both simultaneously. However with a standard subscription you only get one mobile video stream. If you would like to watch on more than one mobile device at the same time, you'll need the Family Option which will provide two more mobile video streams.
  • Can I get BOSS Entertainment in family housing?
    Unfortunately no, BOSS Entertainment is only available for single service members living in barracks, dorms, or other SSQs.
  • How do I sign up?
    You can sign up right here at this web page. We’ll turn you on and have your services up and running in just minutes!
  • How do I pay for BOSS Entertainment?
    With a credit card, either Master Card or Visa is accepted. While activating your service, you’ll also set up a reoccurring monthly payment so that your monthly bill will automatically be charged to your credit card. That means there’s no admin, writing checks, or standing in line to make a payment.
  • Do I need to buy any additional hardware?
    No, because WiFi-enabled cable modems are pre-installed in all SSQs so there’s nothing extra that you need to buy. All you need to do is connect your own gear – we’ll take care of the rest!
  • I don't have a set-top box, can I still get easyTV?
    Yes you can get easyTV GO instead, which is our app-based entertainment service for Amazon Fire TV and mobile devices.
  • Do you need Amazon Prime to watch easyTV?
    No, you do not need an Amazon Prime membership to watch easyTV.
  • How much does the Amazon app cost to download?
    The easyTV app is always free to download, however it can only be activated in combination with an easyTV monthly subscription.
  • Is there a DVR with the Amazon app?
    Yes, the easyTV DVR is included with the Amazon app and is integrated across all other easyTV mobile platforms, allowing you set up and access recordings on any device. You can start watching a recording on the Amazon app for example, and then pick up where you left off on your tablet or mobile phone.
  • Can I get started without the Family Option and then add it later?
    Yes, you can add the Family Option to your subscription afterwards at any time.
  • How do I add the Family Option to my existing subscription?

  • How do you cancel the Family Option?

  • I have two Amazon Fire TV sticks, can I install the app on both?
    Yes, the app is free to download and install which means you can have the app installed on two different Fire TV devices. One for the television set in the living room and one in the bedroom for example. However please note that USAbroadTV includes only one Amazon stream and one mobile stream which means that you cannot watch both Amazon devices at the same time.

  • Is VAT relief available for easyTV?
    easyTV is already tax free. It's a military-only service which means that no tax is ever charged on this product.
  • Where can I pay my bills?
    You can pay all of your bills online here at the TKS website using your myTKS customer account.
  • How do I make online payments?
    Online payments can be made using the myTKS section here at the TKS website. Click on "myTKS" in the main menu and log in to your account. Above are TKS Customer Guides that provide detailed instructions on how to get started with online payments.
  • I can't place an international call, how do I contact you?
    If you can't call us, no worries, we'll call you instead. Reach out us using the website live chat, or send us an email with your contact information. Live chat is available Monday through Friday, 10:00-18:00 CET, or email to: service@tkscable.com
  • Where is BOSS Entertainment available?
    It's available on-base in Germany, in military quarters for single service members such as barracks, dorms, and SSQs.
  • How much do international calls cost?
    With the standard calling plan included with easyConnect, calls to the USA, Canada, UK, and also Germany are free of charge. With the easyConnect Global option, you can get free calls to over 130 countries. Please refer to the easyConnect page or the terms & rates section for additional information.
  • Is there a charge for incoming calls?
    All incoming calls to a German landline are free of charge. Incoming calls to a German mobile phone are free of charge when the call is received in your "home network".
  • How do you dial a 1-800 toll free number in the states?
    From Germany you simply use the standard international format: 00 / 1 / area code and number (without the initial 1). For example, to call 1-800-555-1212 from Germany you would dial: 00 1 800 555 1212. Important: Please note that calling 1-800 numbers from Germany is not toll free but will be charged as a service call.
  • Can I pay my bill at a TKS shop?
    Regrettably no, TKS shops will not be able to handle bill payments at this time. For all routine monthly payments please log in to the myTKS customer portal to make your payments online.
  • Can I upgrade or add an option over the phone?
    Yes. You can always upgrade your TKS service, request a modification, or book a new service option right over the phone.
  • What can I sign-up for?
    You can sign up for all TKS services, telephone, internet and mobile services over the phone.
  • What information does TKS need ?
    In order to get your services activated we need your permanent physical address. We also need a debit- or credit card.
  • How long does the activation take?
    The activation time for on-base residence is on the same day, for off-base residance it can take between 2 and 6 weeks. We recomment to sign up for your internet and telephone service as soon as you know your permanent physical address.
  • Where is the service available?
    All TKS services are available on- and off- base. Depending on the technical feasibility the internet speed can vary.
  • Can I also sign up for mobile service?
    Yes you can. If you need a SIM card or also want to purchase a new mobile device we will make arrangements for pick up at your nearest TKS store, located in an Exchange near you.
  • Is there a minimum contract duration?
    All TKS service plans run on a month to month basis.
  • Can I call you guys from the U.S.?
    Yes, just be sure to use the international dialing format. From the U.S. you would dial: 011 49 631 3522 499 – standard international dialing rates apply. If you’d like, let us call you instead; that way there’s no worry about long-distance charges.
  • Is NFL RedZone part of the easyTV free trial?
    No, NFL RedZone is not included as part of the easyTV 30-day free trial. The NFL RedZone season ticket is a premium add-on that must be purchased separately and is generally non-refundable once the season is underway.
  • Can I watch USAbroadTV in the U.S.?
    USAbroadTV service is not available within the USA, channels and programing content can only be viewed when abroad.
  • Is there an annual contract?
    No, USABroadTV runs on an easy month-to-month basis and can be cancelled at any time effective to the end of a calendar month.
  • How do I pay for the service?
    Monthly credit card payments are accepted.
  • What if I cannot scan the QR code or go to the link in the email?
    Open the QR code attached in the email on one device – for example your computer – and then scan it with your phone's camera or QR code reader.
  • How do I enable push notifications on my phone?
    Enabling push notifications will vary based on your device's operating system, for example Apple iOS or Android. Most commonly, push notifications for individual apps can be enabled in the general settings section of your phone. Go to "notifications" where you can typically enable notifications for each individual app.
  • How do I enable push notifications in the myTKS app?
    1) Open the myTKS app 2) Tap on the navigation menu (upper left hand side) 3) Go to "Account Management" 4) Open "Settings" 5) Enable "Receive Push Messages"
  • Can I change my authentication method?
    Yes, you can change your authentication method but only once you have already set up an initial 2-factor method. Please note that when you have set up your authentication method, you must complete the authentication at least once with your next login in order to be able to change or modify it. It is important when using a third party authentication app to follow all of the steps in the process as stated in the service email you will receive.
  • What happens if I lost the phone that has the 2-factor authentication?
    If you've lost your authorizing device, or if it is damaged and will not turn on, please call TKS customer service for immediate assistance: +49 631 3522 499
  • I’m out of country, can you activate my phone remotely?
    Yes we can. Reach out with our signup line over the phone or WhatsApp for a personalized consultation. We’ll assist you in first selecting the right service plan and then we’ll activate your phone – wherever you are.
  • I need more data, can I upgrade my service plan?
    Yes. You can upgrade your easyMobile service plan at any time free of charge, the upgrade typically goes into effect immediately. Please note that there is a fee associated with downgrades so it’s always a good idea to consult with a representative to find the best upgrade path for your particular needs.
  • Is there an annual contract with easyMobile?
    There is no minimum contract duration or automatic renewal with our wireless service plans. Like all TKS services, easyMobile runs an easy month-to-month basis and can be cancelled at any time.
  • Will my smartwatch have its own telephone number?
    Yes, each easyMobile smartwatch plan comes with its own telephone number. If you have multiple devices for example, each one of your wearables will have a different telephone number.
  • Why does my home phone not work?
    • Is the phone connected to the Modem in Port TEL 1? (only TEL 1 is working, TEL 2 is not) • Is the base station of your phone hooked up to the power? • Is the phone handset charged? • Is the phone handset connected to the base station? (if not, the display from the handset will say something like “searching, not connected, connecting” • Still not able to call out or receive calls? Please contact technical support
  • How long does it take to activate the internet service?
    Activation normally takes about 15 minutes. If you've selected the easyConnect monthly plan, your home telephone line will be ready to go at the same time.
  • Can I use a wired connection and also the Wi-Fi at the same time?
    Yes. You may connect as many devices as you like to your modem and to your home Wi-Fi network, and may use them all at the same time.
  • How much data volume is included?
    You get unlimited monthly data, however please note that a fair-use policy does apply.
  • Can I get a refund for any unused time?
    Refunds are not possible with our prepaid internet plans. With our month-to-month service, you may cancel at any time and will only pay a prorated amount based on the date of your cancellation.
  • Can I get just the STARZ channels, without anything else?
    Our STARZ channel package is not available on its own. It’s an add-on that you can get in combination with easyTV Smart. It can also be combined with the easyTV UP channel upgrade.
  • Can you watch movies on demand?
    Yes. As with all easyTV channels, you can go back up to 7 days in the program lineup and watch whatever you’d like on demand, including STARZ movies and series.
  • Is it possible to make recordings?
    Yes, easyTV has an integrated cloud DVR which can record whatever program you’d like so that you can watch stuff at your convenience. Plus, you can set up either a single recording event or you can tell the DVR to automatically record all of the episodes in an entire season.
  • Are the older easyTV set-top boxes still usable?
    As of November 11, 2024, our legacy set-top boxes will no longer be supported. These devices which were originally manufactured by TechniSat, used a proprietary operating system that is no longer under development. They will be replaced by set-top boxes that utilize Android OS which is a fully-supported modern operating system that offers a wide range of features, additional flexibility, and enhanced viewing options. If you have an older easyTV set-top box, please visit your local TKS shop for information about an upgrade.
  • Can I watch easyTV on my computer?
    Yes, you can watch easyTV in a browser window on your personal computer – no apps or downloads are required. Just go to the easyTV streaming link in your web browser, log in, and start watching.   • Can I get easyMobile Giga Connect on-base?
    easyMobile Giga Connect is currently not available at on-base locations. TKS however does offer many money-saving residential solutions exclusively for on-base residents, please go to the easyConnect page for more details.
  • If I move, can I use my service somewhere else?
    Yes, you can use easyMobile Giga Connect anywhere in Germany that has mobile coverage and a power outlet. Just take the modem to your new home, turn it on, and you’re ready to go online.
  • Do I need an additional mobile line to make phone calls?
    Yes, you need to have a separate easyMobile voice line in order to make phone calls and to activate your easyMobile Giga Connect internet service.
