How can I use the service?
Once activated you have two options to connect your devices:
Connecting using Network Name (SSID) and password:
- Please check the order confirmation you received via eMail and look for the Network Name (SSID). It will be something like ARRIS-1234, ARRIS-abcd, ARRIS-1a2b.
- Look for this network on the list of available networks on the device you want to connect to the WIFI. Ones you find it connect to it.
- When it asks you to put in a password, Network Security Key, etc. put in the preshared key from that very same eMail you received (BE AWARE: It’s case-sensitive).
- You should be now connected to your modem.
Connecting using WPS (push button) method:
- Push the WPS button on the router. The WPS led/light starts to blink, letting you know it is searching for a device to connect.
- Now you have 2 minutes to press the WPS button on the device you want to connect to the WIFI.
- You should now be connected to your modem.

FAQ
- Why is the power led/light and/or Internet led/light not steady white?This can have several reasons, please check the following opportunities: • Is the power cord connected to the modem AND to the power outlet on the wall? • Is the power switch on 1 (0 is off) • Is the power outlet working > please test another device on that outlet like a cell phone charger, lamp, hair dryer, etc. If there is no power check the breaker box or contact DPW (housing) • Is the coax cable connected to the modem AND to the data port on the wall? • Is the modem still mounted to the wall? Is it or any of the cables damaged?
- How can I change the Wi-Fi name and password?Please use the ARRIS TG 3442 Wi-Fi setup guide to change your Wi-Fi name and password listed here on this site in the downloads section.
- Why is the Wi-Fi connection not showing up?Please check if the Wi-Fi led/light is lid? if not, please press the Wi-Fi button once firmly all the way down and let go, don’t hold it.
- Why does my home phone not work?• Is the phone connected to the Modem in Port TEL 1? (only TEL 1 is working, TEL 2 is not) • Is the base station of your phone hooked up to the power? • Is the phone handset charged? • Is the phone handset connected to the base station? (if not, the display from the handset will say something like “searching, not connected, connecting” • Still not able to call out or receive calls? Please contact technical support
